As part of RBA’s commitment to the local community, we are proud to support the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children as Australia’s largest non-government provider of education, therapy and cochlear implant services for children and adults with vision or hearing loss, their families, and the professionals who support them. As a charity, RIDBC relies significantly on fundraising and community support to make a difference in the lives of people with vision or hearing loss.
Collaborating with our support, the RIDBC proof-read and assess accuracy of RBA’s range of tactile signs. Compliance is assessed based on the ease with which the signs are read and the suitability of the text. The range is comprised of both Stainless Steel and Polycarbonate tactile signs which have been designed to meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS1428.1-2009 [incl Amdt 1 – 2010] Design for Access and Mobility.
We are simply stoked to support the RIDBC and all the good work they do for young Australians. Keep up the good work guys!
