Fearnley Dawes Athletic Centre, located in the centre of Newcastle West, New South Wales, is home to a plethora of athletic activity for any and all, with facilities such as running tracks, ovals, basketball courts and more. The Centre and its sports facilities attract athletes from all over Newcastle, thus needed amenities to match. As a result, RBA was asked to participate on the project and provide a variety of RBA and Bobrick appliances, catering for high traffic, Accessibility and subtlety to fit into the design of the colourful washroom.

Provided was RBA’s Bobrick Accessible Compliant Safety Glass Mirror, or the B1658 1639. The mirror is an economical option whilst adhering to the design requirements, having a Bright Polished Finish. It is heavy duty, with a Stainless Steel Frame and mitred corners, and is Accessible Compliant, ideal for disabled amenities.

Further employed was RBA’s Bobrick Contura™ Surface Mounted Soap Dispenser, or the B4112. The uni is made of strong Stainless Steel and holds a capacity of 1.2L, of which is Antibacterial Soap resistant. Needing nominal maintenance, the B4112 is ideal for high traffic locations. Exhibiting a Satin Finish, the unit is a subtle addition to the facilities, allowing for other features of the washroom to shine.

Supplied and pictured is RBA’s 90º Left-Hand Grab Rail (RBA4090-901), which is Accessible Compliant when installed correctly, perfect for disabled amenities as well. The Rail is made from strong Stainless Steel, built for high usage and to last, and has concealed fixings that soften its commercial nature. The RBA4090-901 is to be used in conjunction with RBA’s 300mm Straight Grab Rail, or the RBA4000-030.

Additionally, the Athletics Centre utilises RBA’s Bobrick Contura™ Paper Towel Dispenser, or the B4262. Also made from Food-Grade Stainless Steel, it holds a capacity of 400 C-fold or 525 multifold paper towels. The unit includes a TowelMate™ for easier dispensing and a semi-recessed tumbler lock for security. The B4262 also pertains a Satin Finish, blending in with the design of the washroom.
