Austin Hospital features the following RBA products:

Austin Hospital holds a rich history, starting from its founding in 1885, it became a military hospital during World War II and underwent a merge with the Mercy Hospital for Women in 2000. It has become a hub for state of the art education, research and patient care facilities,  Austin Health providing the only Victoria-wide service for liver transplants, acute spinal surgery, is the state’s main referral centre for toxicology and more. The Hospital holds education facilities for a multitude of Victorian schools for Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, Psychology and Physiotherapy. Austin Health is a centre for a series of Brain, Psychological and even Animal Research Institutes. Also based on the site, covering 24,000m², is the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre, which provides world-class treatment, rehabilitation and care services for cancer patients. Ergo, RBA was more than excited to participate in its revamp in 2016.

Residing in Melbourne’s north-eastern suburb of Heidelberg, the Austin Health is a large-scale centre for medical treatment, education and research. RBA’s application to the site not only showcases our ability to supply all over Australia, but also to world-class facilities that have global recognition. Additionally, the site comes highly commended for its “Green Design”, prioritising environmental solutions. RBA was more than happy to take part in such an upstanding project, hence our supplication of multiple RBA products with a focus on safety, security and extensive use.

RBA’s Conical Commercial Showerhead, or the RBA8519-107, can also replace Tapware, as pictured below. The Showerhead is ligature resistant, perfect for a hospital setting, as it ensures the safety of its users. Coming with a High Polished Chrome Finish, it is cohesive with the washroom design while simultaneously withstanding vandalism. The unit is water saving, with a 3 Star (7.0L) WELS rating, contributing to the project’s desire for environmental-friendliness and is more economical.

The Showerhead has matching handles available, equally pictured below. RBA’s Conical Commercial Shower Handles in both Hot (RBA8519-104) and Cold (RBA8519-103) are applicable to Tapware settings, as Austin Hospital has utilised. Like the Showerhead, the Handles are ligature resistant for safety, vandal resistant for security and come in a High Polished Chrome Finish to match the corresponding RBA8519-107 and the design of the amenities.
